In US Jewry, the winds continue to rage ahead of the establishment of the new government in Israel. 1,000 Orthodox rabbis published a public letter at the beginning of the week calling for support for the government - and goes against demands by other parties in the country to boycott it.

On the other hand, the CEO of the Roderman Foundation, Shira Roderman, appealed to Netanyahu ahead of the formation of the government, and called on him to moderate the statements of ministers in the government. "Our request is to act urgently and without delay for the relationship between Israel and Diaspora Jewry, and to prevent real damage that could reach a point of no return." Ruderman emphasized in the letter.
In a practical way, Roderman suggests establishing a ministerial forum led by Netanyahu, "with the aim of formulating a strategic plan that will connect all parts of the Jewish people in Israel and the Diaspora. Through the activity of the forum in your government, it will be possible to formalize a new contract and define the boundaries of the discourse."
Roderman charged Netanyahu with the responsibility of maintaining the relationship between Israel and world Jewry, and warned against a possible rift.
"The statements, the emerging reality and the public actions may damage the relations between Israel and Diaspora Jews. As prime minister, you are responsible."
