The prosecutor's office on Thursday requested six months of preventive detention, in a high security prison, against the governor of Santa Cruz Luis Fernando Camacho, one of the main opponents of the Bolivian government accused of "terrorism".
"The precautionary measure that (the public prosecutor's office, editor's note) requested is preventive detention for a period of six months", declared the prosecutor in charge of the case, Omar Mejillones, during a press conference organized the day after the arrest of Mr. Camacho.
