Cathay Pacific: Flights to all airports in Japan continue to operate, but Fukuoka Sapporo passengers have a restriction

This represents a 20% reduction in Cathay's planned Japanese schedule for January 2023.

Flights to Nagoya, Fukuoka to be canceled from tomorrow

In order to comply with the requirements of the Japanese authorities, the following schedule changes will be made, among which flights from Hong Kong to Japan, from 30 December until further notice, Cathay Pacific will reduce the flight schedule.

All flights to Nagoya and Fukuoka will be cancelled.

Flights to Sapporo will be reduced from 7 to 5 times per week (with cancellations on Monday and Wednesday), while Tokyo-Narita flight CX500 and Osaka flight CX502 will be canceled on specific days.

For flights from Japan to Hong Kong, from December 30 to January 8, 2023, Cathay Pacific will operate all scheduled flights as planned, including ferry flights to Japan without passengers, to assist customers return to Hong Kong.

From 9 January until further notice, Cathay Pacific will reduce its flight schedule.

All flights departing from Nagoya will be cancelled.

Flights from Sapporo will be reduced from 7 to 5 flights per week (Monday and Wednesday flights will be canceled from January 11), while Fukuoka flight, Tokyo Narita flight CX501 and Osaka flight CX503 will be canceled on specific dates.

Passengers affected by flight cancellations may be transferred to available flights

For passengers affected by flight cancellations, passengers in Tokyo, Osaka and Sapporo will be transferred to other available flights.

Nagoya passengers will be transferred to Osaka flights.

Customers in Fukuoka will receive a full refund as the remaining Japan flights are fully booked due to the busy holiday season.

Cathay said customers could receive a separate message in the next few days advising them of the revised flight details.

Fukuoka customers who booked directly with Cathay Pacific can refund their tickets by clicking the link in the email.

Customers who booked through a third party should contact their travel agent directly.
