Today, the Chinese Ministry of Defense confirmed that the joint naval exercises that took place under the slogan “Maritime Interaction 2022” showed Russia and China’s determination to maintain global and regional peace and stability.
“The navies of the two countries have shown determination and ability to enhance joint response to threats to maritime security and maintain peace and stability at the international and regional levels,” TASS news agency quoted ministry spokesman Tan Kivih as saying in a press briefing today.
The spokesperson stressed that the exercise "has promoted the comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and Russia in the current era."
