Will Hans Sigl give up his role as "Der Bergdoktor" soon?

In an interview, the actor hints that the end is in sight for him.

Ellmau – Hans Sigl (53) is the third mountain doctor in the popular series of the same name.

Well, at least if you count the predecessor of the ZDF show.

The show ran on Sat.1 from 1992 to 1997 before ZDF released its remake of “Der Bergdoktor” in 2008.

At the beginning, Gerhart Lippert (85) played “Dr.

Thomas Burgner".

After four seasons, however, he died in the serial and was replaced by Harald Krassnitzer (62), who called "Dr.

Justus Hallstein” embodied.

But just one year later, Sat.1 canceled the series despite good ratings and ZDF secured the rights (all information about the mountain doctor).

The mountain doctor is filmed in this house in Ellmau - since 2008 Hans Sigl has played the title role "Martin Gruber".

From 2008 onwards, Hans Sigl played Bergdoktor on ZDF.

But it could also be replaced if necessary.

In an interview with

, the 53-year-old hints that he doesn't want to be "Martin Gruber" for too long.

He still likes his role years later, says the Austrian.

But he already knows: "

It sounds as if Hans Sigl had already given some thought to the end of his time as a mountain doctor.

Does Hans Sigl want to give up his mountain doctor role?

Maybe the actor just needs a change after so many years.

Hans Sigl made his breakthrough in 2001 as "Major Andreas Blitz" in SOKO Kitzbühel.

But the 53-year-old also worked in the theater and as a cabaret artist.
