The Tölz police warn of a couple of fraudsters who have been up to mischief in Bavaria for months.

The two fake emergencies and rip off gas station customers, among other things.

Bad Tölz – There was now a case of fraud in Bad Tölz.

Therefore, the police once again urgently warn of the scam of the Romanian fraud couple.

The two 50-year-olds are driving a gray BMW 530d with yellow license plates from Great Britain (GB).

According to the police, the two often stand on busy roads, feign an emergency and beg good-natured road users for fuel or money.

In return, completely worthless pieces of jewelery are often given.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Bad Tölz newsletter.

Worthless jewelery will be handed over as a deposit

As a further scam, they pretend at gas stations that their fuel card does not work.

Then they ask other customers to pay the fuel bill.

Here, too, they promise a refund, providing a (non-existent) cell phone number and after handing over worthless jewellery.

Customers cheated at the Tölzer gas station

This is what happened on the Thursday before Christmas at 4:17 p.m. at a gas station on Lenggrieser Straße in Bad Tölz.

There, the two spoke to a 27-year-old gas station customer from Munich and in this way stole 40 liters of diesel worth 75 euros.

Telephone numbers were exchanged and a worthless ring left as collateral.

The injured party only noticed the fraud when he was later unable to reach anyone on the phone number provided.

Police are asking for information on the whereabouts of the crook couple

The personal details of the perpetrators are known from checks in the past, but not their current place of residence.

Information on the whereabouts of the crook couple is requested from the Bad Tölz police station by calling 0 80 41/76 10 60.
