Netanya informs the president that he has managed to form a government (official website)
Hours before the start of the swearing-in ceremony, the scandal surrounding the distribution of portfolios in Likud has not yet been resolved.
During the night Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu continued meetings with members of his party at Citadel Ze'ev, with the vacant portfolios that still remain to be divided being foreign affairs, energy, regional cooperation and intelligence.
The main plotter - Netanyahu wants there to be a rotation in the foreign and energy ministries between Knesset members Israel Katz and Eli Cohen, but did not reach an agreement with them on who would be first in which position. Katz refused the initial proposal, according to which Cohen would start at the foreign ministry and he would be in energy.
Netanyahu aims to please Katz and dissolve his alliance with Knesset members David Bitan and Dodi Amsalem, who refused the positions offered to him in the government and decided to remain a member of Knesset.
The polenta has not yet been resolved.

Beyond that, Netanyahu also met with members of the Knesset Gila Gamaliel and Danny Danon, but did not reach an agreement with them yet.
Danon first demanded to be appointed speaker of the Knesset, Netanyahu offered him to resign from the Knesset and become KKL-JV chairman, but Danon refused and demanded a portfolio in the government. Gamaliel refused to accept the Ministry of Social Equality assigned to her, nor the position of ambassador. Gamliel wanted the environmental protection portfolio which was handed over to Knesset member Idit Silman, and in the meantime the social equality file was handed over to Shiki.
Netanyahu will try to solve the headache with Katz, Cohen, Danon and Gamaliel in an effort to prevent them from joining the disillusioned Likud, and the most vocal of them, Amsalem, who demanded to accept the Knesset speaker or Netanyahu will try to minimize the degree of disappointment among other senior members of the Likud, so that no internal opposition will arise.

Danon criticized the coalition partners in an interview on 103FM, claiming that their demands were excessive.
"It's a holiday after two months of nerve-wracking negotiations, the process was too long - there was a continuous dialogue. The general feeling is that the Likud did not come out strengthened.
According to him, he wants to get a position in the government, "but not at any cost", and is ready to remain a member of the Knesset. Also For me this is a test hour, if there is not something significant with the ability to execute and influence, I will support the government and do work in the Knesset, he said.
