There is no doubt that Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known worldwide as Pelé, was one of the best soccer players in history, and proof of this is his brilliant time with the Brazilian team.
From his debut with the "Canarinha" in July 1957 (when he was only 16 years old) until his retirement from the national team in July 1971, Pelé played 92 games, in which he scored 77 goals and provided 32 assists, according to data from the specialized site Transfermarkt.

Of those 92 matches, the Brazilian star played 14 in four FIFA World Cups: Sweden 1958, Chile 1962, England 1966 and Mexico 1970.
Pelé showed his best version in Sweden and Mexico, guiding his team to become world champion.
In Chile, he was only injured in the second game and missed the rest of the competition, but even so, Brazil was champion again.
Meanwhile, in England it was the most unfortunate tournament for the South Americans, who had very tough matches and suffered from injuries, with which they were left out in the first round despite being favourites.
In short, the Brazilian soccer legend was a three-time world champion, scoring 12 goals and 8 assists in the 14 games he played in FIFA's top competition.

In fifth place, one of the two goals that Pelé scored against Romania on matchday 3 of the group stage in Mexico 1970. It was a great goal with the instep from a free kick;
With a very strong blow, the Brazilian star put it on the right post of the European goalkeeper.

In the 1958 World Cup in Sweden, Brazil played the semifinal against France, a match in which Pelé broke out with a
hat-trick
(three goals).
One of those goals is in fourth place in the FIFA count: the footballer received the ball in the crescent of the large area with his right thigh, the ball rose and then volleyed it to place it close to the goalkeeper's right post French.
Brazil debuted in the 1970 World Cup in Mexico against the Czechoslovakia team and did so with complete authority: with a 4-1 win in which Pelé scored at minute 59. That score is in third place on the FIFA list ;
The Brazilian star achieved it in a wonderful way after lowering his chest from a cross into the big area, to then let the ball bounce once and then hit the Czechoslovak goalkeeper's right post with his instep.
The "Canarinha" achieved the maximum glory of soccer in Mexico 1970 after beating Italy 4-1.
Pele led Brazil to victory by scoring the opener in the 18th minute with an impressive header to the left post of Italian goalkeeper Enrico Albertosi.

The Brazilian team won the 1958 world championship after beating local Sweden by a 5-2 win.
Pelé, who in that competition became the youngest player to score in a World Cup (a record he still holds), shone in the final against the Swedes with two goals, one of which was a work of art and the number one of Pelé in World Cups for FIFA.
In scoring, the Brazilian star, only 17 years old at the time, chested the ball down inside the big area, then made a wonderful hat to the defender and defined without letting the ball bounce.
