Inspector Chong Tak of the Anti-Triad Action Team of the Yau Tsim District Police District said that the police discovered that criminal syndicates used money to lure minors into drug trafficking. After intelligence analysis, the police identified the identities of the remaining perpetrators.

The arrest operation was launched last night (29th), and two 19-year-old men surnamed Ye and Chen were successfully intercepted in Sham Shui Po District. A total of 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamine were found on them.

The two were arrested on suspicion of "conspiracy to traffic in drugs" and "drug trafficking".

The police then raided the residential unit of one of the arrested persons in So Uk Estate, and seized 2.5 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine and 300 grams of suspected ketamine in the unit. The police also arrested a 20-year-old man named Chen in the unit.

The police pointed out that among the four arrested persons, some of them had triad backgrounds, and their relationships were friends, blood brothers, and former classmates. Some of them reported that their occupations were part-time restaurant waiters or unemployed.

It is reported that the teenagers received thousands of yuan each time as reward for drug trafficking.

Two of the arrested persons were escorted into the vehicle by police officers.
