Detectives from the West Kowloon Regional Crime Unit went to Yushun Building this morning to search for him. He immediately walked to the kitchen, climbed out of the window to dry clothes, and ventured from the outer wall of the unit on the 16th floor down to the platform on the first floor, and then passed by the building on the first floor. The water pipe and canopy went to the adjacent Yufeng Building, then climbed up the 8th floor roof along the outer wall, and then ran to the connected Yu'an Building through the roof. The entire escape route was about 470 meters.

Not long after, the man fell from the roof of Yu'an Building and lay down on the ground close to Wing Tai Road. His hand was injured, and he was sent to Eastern District Hospital by ambulance for emergency treatment.
