A 40-year-old man died during the night in a fire in his residential building in Petah Tikva;
A suspected murder was investigated.
This morning, a 60-year-old man died in a fire in a container in Arara.
The 40-year-old was found unconscious, with burns on his body and no signs of life, in the yard of his residential building, on Histadrut Street in Petah Tikva.
MDA medics and paramedics arrived at the four-story building at 2:47 a.m. and pronounced the man dead. A suspicion of murder was investigated.
MDA paramedic Alon Rizkan said that when they arrived at the scene "we saw the injured man lying unconscious on the building's plaza suffering from severe burns in his body. We performed medical tests but he had no signs of life and we had no choice but to determine his death."

Hours later, in the morning hours, a 60-year-old man was seriously injured in a fire in an attic.
MDA paramedics had to pronounce him dead on the spot. Firefighters broke into the container, and rescued the man from it. MDA paramedics and medics arrived at the scene and gave him medical treatment, at the end of which they pronounced him dead.
MDA medics, Ali Azzam and Fadi Kabaha, said that "when we arrived at the scene, we joined the fire brigade that worked to put out the fire in the container that was near the houses.
They rescued a man in the 60s when he was unconscious and suffering from severe burns in all parts of his body.
We performed medical tests but he had no signs of life and we had to pronounce him dead."
