Shalom Amar, a 59-year-old Israeli, was shot dead in Las Vegas when he was identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office in the US. So far, no arrests have been made in the incident.
Police arrived at an apartment complex in the 7500 block of Placid Street, near West Warm Springs and Bermuda Road, where they found Amar suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "The incident is recognized and handled. From the moment the news was received, the representative of the Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Wing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles, Revital Denker, is in contact with the family and is assisting them in their difficult time. Great efforts are being made to move the casket to Israel at the beginning of next week ".
