In Haar they want to do without fireworks this year.

Instead, there should be an exciting show with a lot of mysticism and artistry.

- A New Year's Eve banger without any banging, but with an amazing show - that's what the municipality of Haar wants to offer this year for the first time: At the Haarer Anger, fire artists and acrobats will enchant the citizens at the start of the New Year.

Up to now people have met in Haar – since the millennium – on New Year's Eve before midnight at the Eglfinger sports and leisure park to admire a large fireworks display together.

Fireworks out of time

For a long time, the town hall had been wondering whether such a spectacle might not have been outdated in the meantime.

But they don't want to do without a joint start into the New Year - and so the community is now trying something new.

The music should play on the Haarer Anger from 10 p.m.

There will be drinks, dancing and chatting.

At 11.30 p.m. a fire theater starts - with mysticism, artistry, with flaming light effects and touching music.

The two artists from Danza Furiosa dance through the fire worlds - and deliver an unusual show, a combination of classic circus art such as aerial artistry and acrobatics and fiery and dance elements.

Better donate money

The municipality of Haar asks for your understanding that the firing of fireworks is not permitted on and around the event site.

Instead, Haar asks that instead of spending money on fireworks, they prefer to donate them to fellow citizens in need.

This year, however, the community foundation did not open its New Year's Eve donation account for those in need, but instead wants to extend the "Hair sticks together" campaign to the turn of the year.

It collects money to help people who are in financial distress as a result of the increased cost of living.
