Merry Christmas: The support association of the BRK readiness Wolfratshausen gave the volunteers a valuable gift.
Wolfratshausen – Since 2002, the voluntary helpers of the BRK readiness Wolfratshausen are not only financed by the BRK district association, but also supported by their own association.
Since then, he has financed a number of purchases of vehicles and equipment in order to improve and supplement the equipment.
On the occasion of the Christmas party, there was now a big present.

“We are equipped with the most necessary vehicles by the district association and the civil protection.
But we also wanted an all-terrain vehicle that could also be used as a towing vehicle for our two special trailers, which weigh more than two tons: the mobile medical station and the large medical equipment trailer,” explain the two on-call managers, Marc Seltier and Wolfgang Tutsch.
At the same time, the car should be able to be driven with a normal category B driving licence.
The solution was an all-wheel drive pick-up, for which the Egling car dealership priced the BRK to match.
The command and control vehicle was supposed to be officially handed over in early summer, but the pandemic prevented an inauguration meeting.
Therefore, the readiness department quietly put the vehicle with the nickname "Rotkreuz Wolfratshausen 10/1" into operation months ago.
The pick-up was first used as an emergency doctor shuttle at the railway accident near Garmisch, and the last time it was used as a shuttle for the children's emergency doctor from the helicopter to a doctor's office in Geretsried.
In the meantime, the helpers used the pick-up to tow the trailer, but also as a vehicle for the operations manager when a bomb was found in Geretsried and for trips to courses in other districts.
The car was also used for the training for the assistant driver's license.
Seltier: "We've often been glad to have him."
BRK readiness: New vehicle cost around 45,000 euros
Now we could finally meet on a larger scale, and so the on-call members went to the Christmas party in the Aujäger restaurant in Puppling.
Here, the association took the opportunity and officially handed over the car to the BRK-Readiness.
The board members of the association, Ines Boodevaar and Peter Bromberger, were briefly informed about previous operations and inspected the vehicle and its special fittings, which together with the rescue backpack and defibrillator had cost around 45,000 euros.
Money from membership fees and collected earmarked donations that is really well invested here, as the on-call managers and the board of directors of the association emphasized together.
