[16:58] Hang Seng Index rose 40 points throughout the day

Today is the last trading day for Hong Kong stocks. The market opened 289 points higher and regained the 20,000-point mark again.

However, it was unable to rise further, and the 20,000-point mark was finally gained and lost.

Throughout the year, the Hang Seng Index fell by 3,616 points or 15.5%, the largest drop in the past 11 years; the Kosei Index fell by 27%.

The Hang Seng Index closed at 19,871 points, up 40 points, the State Index rose 9 points to 6,704 points, the KCI rose 21 points to 4,128 points, and the turnover was 87 billion yuan.

Meituan (3690) was the worst performing constituent stock today, closing at 174.7 yuan, down 5%, Tencent (0700) fell 0.4%, Alibaba (9988) rose 0.8%, and JD.com (9618) rose 1%.

Mainland property stocks performed well today. China Land (1109) rose 3.9%, Longfor (0960) rose 3%, and Country Garden (2007) rose 1.9%.

Property management stocks were also sought after. Country Garden Services (6098) rose 3.1% to 19.44 yuan, China Resources Vientiane (1209) rose 1.2%, and China Overseas Property (2669) rose 1.6%.

Pharmaceutical stocks softened today, CSPC (1093) fell 3%, WuXi Biologics (2269) rose 0.5%, CanSino (6185) fell 0.6%.

As for the whole year, Sands (1928) is the best performing blue chip this year, up 42.6%, Haidilao (6862) rose 32.36%, the second best performing constituent stock.

The worst-performing blue chip during the year was Sunny (2382), which fell by 61.42%. Country Garden and Bifu fell by 61.42% and 58.37%, respectively, ranking second and third on the list of decliners.

【14:51】Taiwan and Japan stock markets closed lower throughout the year

Today is the last trading day of the year for the Japanese stock market, and finally closed flat. The Japanese stock market fell 9.37% for the whole year.

As for Taiwan's stock market, it closed at 14137 points, up 52 points, but the cumulative 22.6% for the year.

The gains of Hong Kong stocks further narrowed. The Hang Seng Index rose 76 points to 19817 points, the H-Share Index rose 20 points to 6716 points, and the KCI rose 27 points to 4134 points.

AIA (1299) rose 3.1%, China Land (1109) rose 2.9%, and CITIC (0267) rose 2.5%.

Domestic insurance stocks were also supported by investors. Ping An Insurance (2318) rose 2.6%, and China Life Insurance (2628) rose 2.5%.

As for property management stocks, Country Garden Services (6098) rose 1%, Poly Property (6049) rose 0.1%, and China Overseas Property (2669) rose 1.5%.

As for financial stocks, HSBC (0005) rose 0.6%, while HKEx (0388) was unchanged.

As for handset equipment stocks, Sunny (2382) rose 3.1%, and AAC (2018) rose 2.6%.

The Hang Seng Index rose 158 points to 19899 points, the State Index rose 53 points to 6749 points, and the KCI rose 58 points to 4165 points.

Meituan (3690) turned from rising to falling, and was last at 178.2 yuan, down 3%.
