The big tree felling campaign in 2018 seemed to announce what was confirmed in the spring: the so-called Stegen hill is being redeveloped.

The old Villa Weiß, where Thomas Gottschalk once lived, has been demolished.

The first preparations for the construction of nine exclusive villas have already been made.

They should be ready for occupancy in 2024.

– The old villa on the Stegen hill in Inning has been demolished.

It was around 120 years old and named after its builder Emanuel Weiß.

It was not listed as a monument.

It became known as the home of TV presenter Thomas Gottschalk.

Most recently, his brother Christoph lived on the hill - until 2018. For eight years he had previously tried to get a building permit.

As early as 1981, the house, which did not have a basement, was in poor structural condition.

From this time there is an approved plan for a replacement building in a country house style, which was never implemented.

The two new owners, who do not want to be named, came into contact with Christoph Gottschalk because they live in the neighborhood.

Their plans became public this spring.

As reported

When numerous trees had to be felled immediately after the sale in 2018 due to ash dieback and bark beetles, the rumor mill simmered in the small Ammersee community.

There was talk of clear cuts.

But the new owners only did what they were advised to do.

"It will also be reforested," assure the 53 and 54-year-old business partners.

According to their own statement, they had long considered whether they should keep the old villa.

In the end, they settled on a "new story."

The old building, including the caretaker's house, was demolished in the autumn.

Under the name "Ammersee Oasis", nine properties are now planned on Landsberger Straße according to the plans of Herrschingen architect Johannes Puntsch.

Each of them has its own swimming pool.

The living areas are given as 200 to 300 square meters, the plot sizes as 746 to 4328 square meters.

Five of the nine properties priced between 3.9 million and eight million euros have already been sold, and the project partners say there are already interested parties for the other four.

They were still considering whether to move into one of the objects themselves or to sell all nine.

The 54-year-old business partner had set this as a goal back in July.

At that time, the first sales talks had only just begun.

In the meantime, in any case, the ground monument legal or archaeological examination has been carried out without findings, so that the next steps for the construction of the new villas have been initiated: The soil for the necessary excavation pits has been removed, depending on the weather the civil engineering work will be continued in spring 2023.

The building shells will be built over the course of the year.

The builders expect the entire construction project to be completed in the second half of 2024. As the 53-year-old project partner assures, the hill will then be reforested "with a beautiful park and forest concept".
