What do Azeris and Artsakh Armenians respectively want?
The priority of the Azeris is to put an end to the Armenian presence in Artsakh.
The blockade of the Lachin corridor and the temporary stoppage of gas deliveries aim to push the Artsakhiotes to leave and, by extension, put an end to the Russian presence whose mandate is justified by the maintenance of an Armenian presence in this territory.
Baku does not consider itself satisfied with the situation inherited since the November 2020 ceasefire, as two objectives have not been achieved.
Artsakh is not yet annihilated and Armenia refuses to cede an extraterritorial corridor transiting through the city of Meghri, which would create the Pan-Turkist junction between Azerbaijan, its exclave of Nakhitchevan and by extension Turkey.
