No more shopping in VTC for less than 8 euros.

VTC platforms such as Heetch, Freenow, Uber or Bolt and driver unions have reached an agreement on the establishment of a minimum price of 7.65 euros net for a race.

A sum only for the drivers, to which it will be necessary to add the commissions taken by each of the platforms.

The agreement must be signed on January 18,

” says Yassine Bensaci, vice-president of the Association des VTC de France (AVF).

A deadline confirmed by Uber: “

The discussions should lead to the signing of agreements, in particular on a minimum income per race from January.

7.30 euros for taxis

All players will then be forced to follow this new pricing, while the minimum price, including platform commissions, currently fluctuates between 6 and 10 euros gross.

On the Uber side, the minimum price is already set at 8 euros, but each company has its own policy.

By way of comparison, the minimum fare for a taxi ride today is 7.30 euros.

"It's still insufficient but it's already a good start,"

says Yassine Bensaci of AVF, recalling that the objective was to reach 10 euros net per race.

But the union does not lose sight of this target.

This agreement is subject to review each year.

We hope to get there within 3 years, depending on the situation

Exchanges between the platforms and the unions began on October 18, and meetings between the two parties have been held every three weeks.

This social dialogue was desired by the government and organized by the Employment Platforms Social Relations Authority (ARPE), following the first professional elections for platform workers which were held in the spring.

But despite this agreement, the discussions are still far from over.

Next demand made by the AVF union from January: a minimum hourly rate for drivers.
