The weather is going crazy: At the turn of the year, spring-like T-shirt weather is looming in Munich and the region.
The sun should shine almost continuously.
Munich – Many people use the time “between the years” to calm down.
Between Christmas and New Year's Eve, everyday life moves at a more leisurely pace, and it's not just in Munich that you can clearly feel the reduced traffic and the more relaxed atmosphere.
This quieter time of the year is repeated again this year.
But it will probably bring a big difference to usual: With the weather.
Weather madness: Munich and the region expect spring on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
In terms of weather, 2022 was the warmest year since weather records began in 1881, according to qualified meteorologist Dominik Jung.
So far, 2018 has been in first place with an average temperature of 10.45 degrees in Germany.
According to the current state of affairs, this will be 10.57 degrees in 2022.
Appropriately, the weather for New Year's Eve is extremely unusual.
Then, according to current forecasts, a whopping 16 degrees should be reached in Munich and the region - with six hours of sunshine.
New Year's Eve is also unusually mild, and it will probably be almost nine degrees for the fireworks.

Even on New Year's Day, it remains spring-like: As
wetteronline
predicts, it should still be 13 degrees, including eight hours of sunshine.
Only in the following days of the new year should the values then gradually drop, and there will also be signs of precipitation.
But the two days around the turn of the year will probably bring one or the other in a t-shirt to the Isar - whether it is enough for a swim then, of course, daring Munich residents will have to decide for themselves.
