A 33-year-old tourist daringly overtook a column behind a tractor between Miesbach and Irschenberg.

The police is now looking for witnesses.

Miesbach

- Apparently, a 33-year-old driver brought too little patience with him on his vacation in the Miesbach district.

Behind a slow-moving tractor, the tourist from Serbia overtook several times despite the ban on overtaking and endangered other road users.

This is reported by a spokesman for the Miesbach Police Inspectorate.

The officers are looking for witnesses.

The volume of traffic had previously increased on Thursday, December 29, around 3:25 p.m. after a slow tractor was driving on the B472 from Miesbach in the direction of Irschenberg.

"Overtaking is prohibited in this area due to the winding route and the signs there as well as the solid line," explains the police spokesman.

Emergency braking and evasive maneuvers prevent a collision

However, a black Mercedes driver persistently ignored this.

“The driver overtook several vehicles despite oncoming traffic and no overtaking.

A collision could only be avoided by emergency braking and evasive maneuvers by oncoming traffic.” When the Mercedes driver again “daringly” wanted to overtake, a police patrol from the Raubling Border Police Inspectorate intervened.

The officers stopped the car.

The driver initially denied the crime, but finally admitted it.

Criminal proceedings are being instituted against him for endangering road traffic.

In addition to a fine, the Serb must also expect his driving license to be revoked.

To secure the criminal proceedings, he had to deposit a three-digit amount of money on site.

The further investigations are now being carried out by the traffic police inspection in Raubling in coordination with the public prosecutor's office in Munich II.

Tractor driver also wanted as a witness

Now the police are urgently looking for witnesses, since an accident could ultimately only be prevented by the behavior of other road users.

"Were you endangered by the driving behavior of the black Mercedes S-Class or were you able to observe the incident," asks the police.

"Then please urgently contact the Traffic Police Inspectorate in Rosenheim on 08035/9068-0 or any other police station." The police are also looking for the tractor driver, who is also an important witness.
