Dear travellers,

The rush of the Chinese on plane or train tickets as soon as the restrictions have been lifted is a reminder of how much the pandemic has changed our behavior and aspirations.

Immobile and virtual daydreams have been succeeded by the desire, sometimes the vital need to escape.

2022 was a year of revenge and transition.

From the corset of prohibitions to regained freedom, a form of awareness has however violently crystallized: traveling produces consequences, for the climate, for the local populations... From words to actions, there is certainly a gap.

But a discourse in the form of blacklisting now designates the culprit without nuance: the one who takes the plane, books a cruise or a ski holiday, to name but a few examples.

Everyone must make their way towards a more sober and responsible tourism.

A good resolution for this new year.

In the meantime, let's rewind the last 12 months without sulking our pleasure.

Happy reading, and Happy New Year!
