Deir Ezzor - SANA
The Ministry of Water Resources announced the start of trial operations for the government irrigation project in the seventh sector in Deir Ezzor Governorate, which is being implemented by the General Corporation for Land Reclamation.
In its announcement, the ministry indicated that the project had been suspended for more than ten years due to terrorism, explaining that the project consists of a main pumping station, a sub-lift station, a main channel, and sub-channels.
SANA's correspondent in Deir ez-Zor reported that the General Establishment for Land Reclamation conducted today the trial operation of the project in preparation for putting it into service, explaining that it irrigates 7,500 hectares of lands in the western countryside of Al-Bukamal.
