The day before New Year's Eve was already busy for the police in the Ebersberg district.

Now witnesses are wanted for burglary and arson.

Poing/Kirchseeon

- The police and fire brigade had already had their first New Year's Eve mission the day before: in Poing, near Bahnhofstrasse, a paper container caught fire around 5:30 p.m.

The Poing Police Inspectorate reports: "The reason for this was a firework, which was probably thrown in intentionally."

According to the officials, the fire was quickly extinguished by the Poing volunteer fire brigade.

The container itself suffered total damage estimated at 500 euros.

Anyone who has made observations regarding the unknown perpetrators is called upon to report to the Poing Police Inspectorate, Tel. 08121/9917-0.

Kirchseeon: In the residential area: burglar levers open doors

In Kirchseeon, on the other hand, the Ebersberg police department responsible had to deal with several burglaries on the same day: "During December 30, 2022, at least

two burglaries occurred

in the residential area in the Fritz-Litzlfelder-Strasse area," the officials report.

Police departments Poing and Ebersberg are looking for witnesses

A previously unknown person apparently gained access via the terrace doors using a lever tool.

He then ransacked the apartments, probably looking for valuables.

The damage caused by the prey currently amounts to around 500 euros, the investigators estimate.

Any witnesses who can provide relevant information or who identify signs of a break-in themselves are asked to contact the Ebersberg Police Inspectorate on 08092/8268-0.
