Puchheim – The city of Puchheim has awarded the “Puchheim Pulse” 2022 commitment prize.

Citizens had until October 31 to submit proposals.

On December 14th, the specially appointed, independent jury met and decided on the awarding of the prize from the 13 proposals submitted.

Puchheim Puls focuses on the coexistence and cooperation of civil society.

We are looking for people or institutions that act in an exemplary manner, help others directly, are committed to great benefit and sustainability, or show particularly innovative and effective commitment.

The prize is awarded in three categories: voluntary work, everyday life, work and business.

Category "Volunteering" and "Everyday Life"

The award in the "voluntary work" category goes to Florian Gögelein and Verena Huber, the coaching duo of the FC Puchheim soccer team for the 2011 class. Their commitment goes far beyond the usual training program.

They regularly organize trips and team events for the team.

During the Corona period, they kept the children on the ball with a Corona fitness challenge and organized a "Dahoam" training camp under complicated Corona conditions.

They also take on numerous tasks in the football division of the club and take care of the website and social media presence, among other things.

The winner in the "Everyday" category is Michael Stöckemann, captain of the Puchheim senior citizens' rickshaw.

The new pensioner offers free rickshaw rides with two other drivers for Puchheim seniors.

He is a co-initiator of the project and organized the financing and purchase of the rickshaw in cooperation with Haus Elisabeth.

There are several routes in and around Puchheim on offer.

The focus is always on the individual wishes, concerns and needs of the seniors.

"Chocolate" wins the "Job and Business" category

In the "Job and Business" category, the prize is awarded to "The Chocolate Little".

The owner, who has her roots in Puchheim, Christine Scholz, has been running the confectionery on Lochhauser Straße in Puchheim-Bahnhof for 17 years.

She is active in the advertising community of the Puchheim business world – for a number of years she has also been a member of the board – and is involved in the “Puchheim hat's – Kauf vor Ort” initiative.

In addition to the exhausting everyday business, she is also socially committed and donates to the Puchheimer Tafel and the homeless aid, among others.

She has a heart for young people and trains regularly, including students from special schools and part-time.

All three prizes are endowed with 666 euros.

The official ceremony for Puchheim Puls with the presentation of the certificates and trophies will take place on May 5th.
