The head of the French People's Republican Union party, François Aselino, described Ukraine's new press law as inconsistent with freedom of expression in Europe, and reinforces the neo-Nazi dictatorship of Vladimir Zelensky.

Asellino said on his Twitter account: “The European Federation of Journalists is outraged by this law, and its representatives believe that it includes many provisions that contradict European values,” noting that Zelensky strengthens his neo-Nazi dictatorship through this law.

Aselino noted that the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine is also unhappy with the law and believes it is the biggest threat to freedom of expression.

The Ukrainian parliament adopted in the second and final reading a bill on the media that allows the authorities to impose a fine and close down any TV channel, newspaper or website if it does not like the informational content on it.
