Police officers of the East Kowloon Regional Crime Unit launched an anti-crime operation code-named "LEVINGTON" (LEVINGTON) yesterday night (30th) and raided a unit at No. 42 Hung To Road, Kwun Tong, busting a suspected illegal gambling stall , picked up an electric mahjong table, two sets of mahjong, 12 chairs, about 120,000 Hong Kong dollars in gambling money and a lot of gambling equipment.
During the operation, the police arrested 25 people, including 20 men and 4 women (aged between 26 and 55) who were gamblers and were arrested for "gambling in a gambling establishment"; another 63-year-old local woman surnamed Zheng was arrested. All those arrested are being detained for investigation.
