The electronic link project, with the aim of facilitating the completion of citizen s' transactions, promoting traffic awareness, continuing to combat crimes of all kinds, and creating electronic platforms to facilitate the submission of the most prominent works that the Ministry of Interior implemented during the year 2022.
In the field of citizen services:
The opening of the Immigration and Passports Department building in Zablatani in Damascus, the Idlib Immigration and Passports Branch in its temporary headquarters in the city of Hama, and the Mutrba Immigration Center in the border countryside of Homs with Lebanon.
The opening of a citizen service center and a civil registry center in Jdeidet al-Fadl, a community affiliated to the Quneitra governorate.
Establishing a civil registry center in the city of Sabikhan in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, in addition to issuing personal cards for students coming from Jarabulus, Manbij and Ain al-Arab, in Aleppo governorate.
The Ministry of the Interior completed the electronic link between the Traffic Department and its branches in the governorates through the modern traffic program, whereby it became possible to pay absentee and attendance violations for any vehicle, and obtain a clearance for any vehicle from any traffic branch, regardless of its ownership.
Activating the driver’s license program and linking it with the modern traffic program in all traffic branches.
Completing the electronic link between the Ministries of Interior and Transport, in order to obtain vehicle returns.
Completion of the electronic link with the Syrian Company for Electronic Payments.
Electronic linkage with the two communication companies, “Syriatel” and “MTN”, so that traffic fines can be paid through them.
In the field of traffic awareness:
The Traffic Media Committee in the Traffic Department has implemented more than 300 awareness activities, in coordination with a number of agencies.
– Holding a number of rehabilitation courses for the staff of the Syrian Society for the Prevention of Road Accidents, and first aid courses for the elements of the investigation departments in the traffic branches in the governorates.
In the field of market licenses and recovery of stolen cars:
Granting 288,483 driving licenses of various categories.
Recovering 377 stolen cars in all traffic branches in the governorates.
Seizure of 2069 cars according to various search broadcasts in all traffic branches in the governorates.
In the field of drug control:
The number of drug cases seized by police units, the Drug Enforcement Administration and its branches in all governorates during 2022 amounted to about 10,149 cases, during which 12,892 drug dealers, traffickers and drug users were arrested.
About 5 tons of narcotic hashish, 37,043,492 Captagon pills, and about 21 kilograms of cocaine, heroin, and others were seized.
