The year 2022 witnessed the participation of Syria in a number of Arab and international activities, conferences and exhibitions, directly or virtually, which contributed to strengthening the return of Syria in various sectors to international activity, despite the difficulties imposed by the terrorist war and the economic blockade imposed on it.

In the fields of education:

 On February 9, Syria participated in the 13th International Conference on Higher Education in Cuba.

On May 31, the Ministry of Education participated in virtual regional consultations for the Arab region and West Asia, on the basic elements in the transformation of education.

- September 16, and based on the invitation addressed to President Bashar al-Assad to participate in the Education Transformation Summit from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, Syria participated in the summit with a governmental educational delegation.

– October 10, faculty members, heads of departments, and postgraduate students at the Faculty of Human Medicine at Damascus University and university hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research participated in the first Russian-Syrian Health Conference “Ibn Sina Road” that was held in Moscow, during which a number of cooperation agreements were signed. -November 10, the Syrian girl, Sham Al-Bakour, was crowned the champion of the Arab Reading Challenge, outperforming more than 22 million participants from 44 countries. - December 6, Syria, represented by the University of Damascus, participated in the international conference for the fiftieth anniversary of the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage through research works on the Silk Road and the historic city of Palmyra, in Kazan - Russia.

 In the field of administrative development:

On March 28, the Ministry of Administrative Development participated in the (Governmental Women) Forum, which was held in Dubai, in preparation for the activities of the eighth session of the World Government Summit.

- March 29, the Ministry of Administrative Development participated in the activities of the eighth session of the World Government Summit, which was held in Dubai.

In the field of public works and housing:

- June 26, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing participated in the eleventh World Urban Forum in Poland.

In the field of communications and technology:

June 1 - The Ministry of Communications and Technology participated virtually in the ministerial round table discussions that were held within the Global Information Forum held in Geneva.

- September 26, the Ministry of Communications and Technology participated in the work of the Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITUBB 22), which was held in the Parliament Palace in Bucharest, Romania.

In the legal field:

- June 30, the Ministry of Justice participated in the tenth international law forum held in St. Petersburg in the Russian Federation, with the participation of more than 90 countries.

In the field of water resources:

June 7 The Ministry of Water Resources participated in the second international conference of the International Decade of Action on Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028 in Tajikistan in cooperation with the United Nations.

In the field of health:

- January 24, the Ministry of Health participated in the work of the 150th session of the Executive Council of the World Health Organization in Geneva.

- May 22, Syria participated in the work of the 75th session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva.

 On October 11, the Ministry of Health participated in the work of the 69th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean, which was held in Cairo under the slogan (Together for a sustainable tomorrow and better health).

In the field of agriculture and agrarian reform:

- February 7, the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform participated in a meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

On May 23, the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform participated in the opening of the 89th International Agricultural Exhibition, which was held in the Serbian city of Novi Sad.

- July 28, participation in the quartet Arab agricultural ministerial meeting held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in which the ministers of agriculture from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq participated.

- April 5, the Syrian student wing won first place in the competitive student exhibition in Slovakia, which was organized by the University of Economics in the Slovak capital, Bratislava, with the participation of 30 student delegations from countries of the world.

May 9, Syria participated in the activities of the Arab Travel Market exhibition, which was held in Dubai in cooperation with the World Trade Center in Dubai. The Syrian pavilion included several participations of international hotels, travel and tourism offices, the Syrian Transport and Tourism Company and some private companies, in addition to the pavilion of Cham Wings Airlines.

- September 1, Syria participated in the China Exhibition for Trade and Services, in the Chinese capital, Beijing. The Syrian pavilion in the exhibition includes mosaics, Syrian fabrics, cosmetic products, laurel soap, Damascene rose perfume, olive oil, and Syrian sweets. Plastic artist Walid Ali also participated with his most important paintings in the Syrian pavilion.

- September 21, Syria participated in the 16th International Iran Plast Exhibition, which was held at the permanent site of the Tehran International Exhibition.

- November 15, Syria participates in the Havana International Fair in its thirty-eighth session, and 62 countries, including Syria, participated in it.

-7 December, Syria participated in the first session of the Abu Dhabi International Food Fair through a pavilion organized by the General Organization for International Exhibitions and Fairs.

- December 27, Syria participated in the exhibition (Made in Syria), on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair, and 100 Syrian industrial, agricultural, commercial and health companies participated in it.
