Looking back at 2015 when he was still a middle school student, a certain Tianhe and a few railway fans who were also middle school students suddenly came up with the idea of "North District Light Rail", but after some discussion, they did not submit the actual draft to the government and the MTR.
However, this whimsy also successfully opened up another imagination for the future of the city, and they began to be interested in seriously studying the new railway project in Hong Kong, thus establishing the Hong Kong Railway Development Research Group and setting up a website to actively discuss, including future road construction, transportation Transportation planning, knowledge of railway technology and more.
Some people may think that these "iron glue" are just for fun, but in fact, Alex has regarded the work of the Hong Kong Railway Development Research Group as a responsibility and commitment to the city.
Although "sweat comes out, but no food goes out", but in the past seven years, the group of children from the Arabian Nights have grown up, and this unconstrained organization has gradually gained the trust of the public and concerned organizations—whenever the government When a new development plan is announced, the media invites them to express their opinions.
This trust makes Alex feel that there is a long way to go, and he hopes that the organization can be more professional, disseminate more accurate, comprehensive, and easy-to-understand information, and lead the public to have a deeper understanding of issues and participate in discussions, thereby promoting the government to improve governance.

For the newly established Transport and Logistics Bureau, this year is quite a fulfilling year, because the authorities have launched many transportation infrastructure projects, such as the East Rail Line cross-harbour section, the Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge, etc., and there will be the Tomorrow Lantau Railway next year , Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Railway and other large-scale development plans.
But in Alex's view, the government's doing more does not mean doing well, because he is concerned about whether these projects can actually respond to the travel needs of citizens so that passengers can reach their destinations comfortably.
Therefore, they will continue to pay attention to how the government develops railway planning, how to improve the existing saturation problem, etc., and hope to trigger public discussion.
When asked if he would leave Hong Kong, Alex thought that he was still young and might need to go to different places in the future to enrich his experience and experience.
But he emphasized that no matter whether he stays or leaves, no matter where he is in the future, he will still work hard and contribute to the city where he grew up.
