"A spark of hope": This was the motto of a bulldog convoy in Bremen recently.
In the district of Erding, too, cohesion is something from which people draw strength.

- With hope in the new year - is that even possible in view of the many crises in the world?
Yes, say prominent county citizens we interviewed.
From different perspectives - whether as a politician, athlete, musician or helper in need - there are different perspectives and wishes.

Rita Gabler is going into the next year happily.
“The past year was an absolute lucky year for me.
We have successfully got the Sophienhospice up and running.
Despite the nursing shortage, we were able to put a great team together and the patients are satisfied with our care,” enthuses the head of the new facility in Erding.
All the praise makes her very happy and gives her great hope for a good year in 2023.
"I wish that people would develop a greater awareness of the beauty of our world and the insight that if we continue like this, we will irretrievably destroy this wonderful planet with its biodiversity," says the woman from Erding.
She therefore wants to make her own garden even more natural.
Her resolution for 2023: "After the exhausting year of founding the hospice, I would like to spend a little more time with my family."

Konrad Huber is looking forward to the coming year.
“In the autumn you noticed that the concerts were getting more and more popular.
It gave me a lot of hope to see that the citizens missed music and being together," says the choir director from Reithofen.
He is also satisfied with 2022.
"We were able to hold all the concerts that were important, so we have hope that next year will be just as good, if not better." He is already working on the annual plan.
Due to new connections to a choir from Barcelona, a joint concert is also planned for July 2023.

"The farmers are on the right track, you can feel the importance of healthy food and short delivery routes," the villager is convinced.
With regard to supply bottlenecks, it is also important to promote local agriculture.
“All farmers in the district work with passion.
That gives me and everyone else involved hope and motivation, which is why I will continue to do my best for agriculture in the district.”

The sport continues to be the focus of the successful rower Oliver Zeidler.
“For the next year, I would like to just concentrate on the sport.
Qualifying for the Olympics is my number one goal.” The 26-year-old Schwaiger says he lost a lot of time due to professional commitments that he would have needed for training.
The increased focus "gives me hope that I can achieve a lot," he says.

“I am really looking forward to the realization of the warm room.
That gives me strength and hope to start the coming year," says Petra Bauernfeind, Deputy Mayor and Chairwoman of the Erding Neighborhood Aid.
One of the city councilwoman’s great personal wishes is for the war in Ukraine to end: “I wish for the next year that the Ukrainians know what’s going to happen and have prospects again.” The good health of her family also gives her hope for a good year : “Everyone is happy the way things are right now.
It can go on like this.”

The Erdinger local spokesman for the Greens, Konrad Thees, looks with hope to all of Germany.
“We have the potential to achieve something big as a society.
We are all pursuing a common goal: to preserve democracy in our country.” What gives him the most hope is the double solidarity in connection with the Ukraine war: “that we help ourselves, but also that we don’t leave the Ukrainian refugees behind”.
In 2023 he will be going into his second and final year as local spokesman for the Green Youth.
Even after that he will continue to work for the party, especially in the state election campaign.

Hans Wiesmaier, Mayor of Fraunberg, expresses his gratitude for the past year.
"I hope that the cohesion was not broken by Corona and could be continued." In 2023 he wants to make the coexistence of young and old in the community more attractive.
In addition, the peaceful life in the district of Erding makes him hopeful: "We shouldn't go back on our achievements from the past," says Wiesmaier.
