"Neo-Nazis Make Easy Money": Kanye West Didn't See This Coming | Israel today

2023-01-01T13:39:47.104Z

After the rapper announced his run for the US presidency, anti-Semitic organizations began selling shirts with swastikas in the spirit of the campaign.

A disturbing phenomenon:

against the background of Kanye West's anti-Semitic statements and the announcement that he intends to run for the US presidency in 2024, online merchants are offering for sale, items of clothing designed under the influence of the disgraced rapper's racist statements.

The items, which include short and long shirts in various models, feature West's election slogan - YE 24 (YE is Kenya's current nickname) in typography that strongly resembles a pair of Nazi swastikas.

Disturbed to see sites selling swastika-themed merch in support of Ye's presidential bid.

Some of the symbols appear to have originated among white supremacist trolls on 4chan in Nov & have since been incorporated into merch by online sellers, including print-on-demand platforms.

On another shirt, on which the inscription YE 2024 is emblazoned, you can see the US flag inside a swastika surrounded by a Star of David (a symbol that West himself shared on Twitter last year, and because of this he was blocked from the social network).

These are not official products on behalf of West, but items promoted by neo-Nazi organizations in North America, and apparently also by opportunists who spare no effort to line their wallets.

However, the Anti-Defamation League in the US chose to expose the trend and uploaded a tweet to Twitter that aimed to raise awareness of the racist shirts.

"It doesn't matter if these sellers are trying to make easy money or spread hate, the platforms that give them the platform have the responsibility to put an end to it. Kudos to those who have already done so," the tweet said.

Although the identity of the sites and platforms that offer the shirts for sale has not been published by the Anti-Defamation League, from a short search we performed today (Sunday) on Google, some of them are still available for purchase on various sites, for example here.

The shirts are even promoted on the leading social network Pinterest, which allows its members to create, manage and share photo collections, and the main topics in which are fashion and arts.

Kanye West literally went on another live interview and screamed "Jewish people, forgive Hitler".

As for West himself, his Twitter and Instagram accounts are still blocked/empty.

Recently, the rapper was also banned from the Clubhouse network, after claiming that "the Chinese use Jews to control the blacks".
