The exact cause of death has not yet been determined.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware of the case, is in contact with the family and is assisting them in moving the coffin to Israel.
About a week ago, 59-year-old Israeli Shalom Amar was found dead in Las Vegas, where he lived.
He was found lifeless south of the city last Monday, but remained unidentified for several days until Thursday when he was identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office, which at the same time ruled it a homicide.
Earlier, an officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that medical crews arriving at the apartment block complex on Monday night found the man on a sidewalk, unconscious, bleeding and with gunshot wounds.
After unsuccessful efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
