A 33-year-old suspect, a Palestinian resident of the Palestinian Authority, was arrested today (Sunday) on suspicion of being involved in a stabbing incident in 2018 in Kfar Akeb in Jerusalem.
In the incident in question, a man was seriously injured, after his throat was slit.
The suspect fled the scene.
The police investigation revealed that the suspect's brother was murdered a year before this case, and this was due to a clan conflict.
The suspect, who had been on the run since the incident, was located last night by the IDF in the Hebron area. He was arrested by the police of the Sheft station of the Jerusalem district on suspicion of his involvement in the stabbing.
The suspect's detention was extended by the court for three days until January 3.
The police investigation is ongoing.
