Larger fires in Wittenau and Alt-Hohenschönhausen

On New Year's Eve, the Berlin fire brigade responded to three major fires in Wittenau, Alt-Hohenschönhausen and Britz.

An apartment and several balconies burned in the Bernshausener Ring in Wittenau, as the fire department announced on Sunday night on Twitter.

Four people saved themselves and another person was taken to the hospital.

Berlin – Details were not initially known.

In Britz, on the other hand, the roof structure of a 200-square-meter apartment building was in full fire.

More than 80 emergency services were there early Sunday morning or on the way.

The fire department initially did not provide any information about injuries.

The fire brigade was also on duty on Landsberger Allee in Alt-Hohenschönhausen.

There burned several balconies on a high-rise building.
