Loire: a man suspected of the bare-handed murder of his fellow prisoner

A detainee from the La Talaudière penitentiary center (Loire) was indicted on Friday for the bare-handed murder of his fellow prisoner, we learned on Sunday from a judicial source.

The 25-year-old victim died Thursday at Saint-Etienne University Hospital as a result of blows received during the previous night.

Both were in their cell in the semi-freedom section of the La Talaudière penitentiary center when the attack took place.

Supervisors who were in another building were alerted by CCTV images.

The younger of the two was unconscious when they arrived there.
