The church towers in downtown Miesbach received a wreath of lights at the New Year's Eve fireworks.
Nice that the New Year's bells could be heard from afar despite the noise of firecrackers and rockets.

A hedge fire in Neuhaus was the largest operation for the police and fire brigade on New Year's Eve in the Miesbach area.
This is how the turn of the year 2022/2023 went in the region.
Miesbach
– Those who decided spontaneously in terms of fireworks were unlucky.
The pyrotechnics shelves in many supermarkets were already empty on the eve of New Year's Eve.
An impression that was effectively confirmed at the turn of the year in the sky over Miesbach and the surrounding area.
Rockets and batteries ensured a colorful start in 2023, firecrackers and crackers echoed through the mild and almost cloudless night.
So it's almost surprising how the Miesbach Police Inspectorate summed up New Year's Eve when asked by our newspaper: All in all, the celebrations went quite smoothly.
There was no major damage and no one was injured.
Fireworks set cardboard boxes on fire
But the officers on duty still had something to do, as the deployment report shows.
Around midnight, a firecracker was thrown at a car parked opposite the Haushamer Netto market.
Soot on the roof of the car confirmed the incident, but there was no trace of the perpetrator.
In Straß between Agatharied and Miesbach, cardboard boxes caught fire from firecrackers, but the polluter was able to put out the flames, according to the police.

The largest New Year's Eve mission followed a few minutes after the turn of the year.
Pyrotechnics ignited a hedge on a private property on Josefstaler Strasse in Neuhaus.
The local fire department responded.
Because spreading to the nearby building could not initially be ruled out, the Miesbach fire brigade was also alerted with its turntable ladder vehicle.
As reported by commander Matthias Resch, this was able to turn around again on the approach.
According to the police, the damage was limited to the hedge and the fence.
Peaceful New Year's Eve party in the Schliersee Kurpark
At around 3:30 a.m., the officers were called to Nagelbachstrasse in Hausham, where a heavily intoxicated man yelled at the neighborhood.
He spent the rest of the night sobering up with the police.
Meanwhile, one of the largest public parties in the Miesbach area, the New Year's party in the Schliersee Kurpark, went very quietly, according to the police.
