Incoming Prime Minister Netanyahu will fly next week to visit Abu Dhabi and meet with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, according to an Israeli senior official with knowledge of the matter.

why is it important:

• This will be Netanyahu's first public and official visit to Abu Dhabi, after several secret visits he made to the country in the years before the signing of the Abraham Accords.



• At the beginning of 2021, Netanyahu tried several times to organize a visit to Abu Dhabi, but time after time the visit was postponed and finally canceled due to the proximity of the elections.
