The Regensburg fire brigade was alerted shortly before 10 p.m.
Four cars were fully engulfed in flames, and others had already been damaged by the heat.
Regensburg – A fire broke out in Regensburg (Upper Palatinate) on New Year's Eve, damaging several cars.
The police said in a press release.
There were no injuries.
New Year's Eve 2022: Cars burn in Regensburg
Accordingly, the police were informed shortly before 10 p.m. that several parked vehicles on Käthe-Kollwitz-Strasse in Regensburg are said to be on fire.
When the police and fire brigade arrived on site, four cars were already fully engulfed in flames.
Three other vehicles were injured and damaged by the heat of the flames.
According to the press release, residents were asked to keep the windows and doors closed because of the heavy smoke.
The fire was quickly extinguished before it could spread to other vehicles parked at the side of the road.

High property damage: Four cars burn out, three more damaged
No information can be given about the amount of damage at the moment, but it should be in the high five-digit range, according to the police.
The investigations into the as yet unknown cause of the fire were carried out by the Regensburg Criminal Police Department directly on site.
