Ma On Shan New Year's Eve (31st) revealed a series of attempted murder and suicide cases.
At 9:04 last night, the police received a report from a 44-year-old man surnamed Li, alleging that his wife of the same age surnamed Chen stabbed her neck with a knife in the unit of Jinling Pavilion, Jinfeng Court, No. 638 Xisha Road, Ma On Shan. The woman was sent to the Prince of Wales The emergency treatment in the hospital was postponed until 9:41 and he was confirmed dead. The man also suffered neck injuries and was conscious and sent to the hospital for treatment.
After preliminary investigation, the police seized a knife and a batch of clothes in the unit, which were suspected to be related to the case. The case was listed as an attempted murder and suicide and was handed over to the serious crime team of Sha Tin Police District for follow-up investigation.
Police will arrange for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
