For the new year, Kim Jong-un set a series of military goals that would respond to the hostile policy, according to him, of the American administration • The ruler accused the southern neighbor of accumulating weapons "in a careless and dangerous manner" in preparation for war

Dictator Kim Jong Un has ordered the North Korean military to 'exponentially' expand their nuclear arsenal as well as work on developing a more powerful intercontinental missile and launching into space the first Pyongyang-made spy satellite, according to a report in the local media.

For the new year, the North Korean ruler set a series of challenging military goals centered on increasing the country's nuclear capabilities, both in quantity and quality in the face of what he claims is the hostile policy of the American administration.

"Now they (the Americans) are eager to isolate and strangle North Korea in a way unprecedented in human history," Kim Jong Un said at a meeting of the ruling party.

"The existing situation obliges us to make redoubled efforts to comprehensively strengthen the military 'muscle'," he added.

Also, Hashim accused the southern neighbor of accumulating weapons "in a careless and dangerous manner" in preparation for war with North Korea, and in response, Kim Jong Un emphasized the need to create tactical nuclear weapons and promote "exponential growth of the country's nuclear arsenal."

Inside, the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the South Korean military said in an official statement that it had detected the launch of a missile this morning (Sunday) from the capital Pyongyang.

They also added that the missile flew about 400 km before hitting the waters between the Korean Peninsula and Japan and defined the incident as a "serious provocation".

In the West, they are worried about the capabilities of Kim Jong Un, who launched an unprecedented number of 70 missiles last year, which indicates an increased development of the country's ballistic industry.
