Two American police officers were injured during a clash with a gunman in New York City during the New Year celebrations.
The New York Post quoted the city’s police commissioner, Kishant Sewell, as saying in a press conference: “A gunman attacked police officers present in Times Square during New Year’s celebrations, wounding two of them in the head, prompting another policeman to shoot and beat the suspect.” in his shoulder.”
Sewell indicated that the suspect was arrested, while the authorities launched investigations to find out the reasons and circumstances of the attack.
