The "Big Brother" castaway was updated on the news, according to which Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is expected to cancel the taxation on disposable utensils, and expressed sharp criticism of this • Tikva Gideon, another castaway of the reality show, joined the protest

Danit Greenberg, a "Big Brother" refugee, published a particularly nervous story yesterday (Sunday) that she shared with her hundreds of thousands of followers on the social network Instagram in which she referred to the news that the Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, is expected to cancel the taxation on disposable utensils and expressed sharp criticism of it .

"Big Brother" winner Tikva Gideon also came out against the decision.

"In July 2021, before the government announced the imposition of a tax on disposable utensils, the volume of sales was 468,000 units," Greenberg shared the data at the beginning of her speech.

"In February 2022, after the imposition of the tax, there was a sharp drop of about fifty percent in the volume of sales and the volume of sales was 232,000 units," she added.

"Conclusion: the taxation led to a fundamental change in the preservation of the environment," concluded the anchor of the network.

"Also", she added, "there has been a decrease of about seventeen percent in the consumption of sugary drinks, which is a very significant decrease that saves the lives of many in the State of Israel. Also, of course, following the tax that was applied to them", she concluded.

"Then why?", she addressed the new government and Minister Smotrich, who is responsible for canceling the tax.

"Why do we stay behind and turn everything into government capital? While other countries in the world mandate a one-time sale?", she had a hard time understanding.

"Why does the government legitimize the public to buy sugary drinks which are known to be harmful to our health?" she raged.

"I don't see any decision here that is in our favor," she said.

"And it sucks, especially since I know closely the organizations that work so hard for the environment. Just sad," she concluded.

As mentioned, Tikva Gideon also joined in criticizing the decision.

"Increase in prices 2023: electricity, fuel, property tax, taxes," she stated.

"But hey, if you like these umbrellas for a cocktail glass, then the price will go down. And drink something sweet, so you don't get low on sugar," he teased.
