A man was stabbed to death on Sunday near Rouen and the alleged perpetrator was taken into custody, AFP learned Monday, January 2 from police sources.
According to a first police source, the facts occurred on Sunday in Caudebec-lès-Elbeuf (Seine-Maritime) against the backdrop of a neighborhood dispute.
The victim is 41 years old, added the same source, without further details.
The alleged perpetrator, a 43-year-old individual, allegedly stabbed his neighbor twice late Sunday afternoon, another police source said.

He was arrested and placed in police custody for attempted homicide, according to this source, adding that the victim died shortly after.
The suspect was alcoholic at the time of his arrest, according to the same source.
The police station has taken over the investigation.
