Herrsching - On New Year's Eve, a driver called the Herrsching police station and told the officers that a dog had jumped into her car.
The dog ran alongside her vehicle on Rieder Strasse at the junction with Gachenaustrasse, and since she initially thought it was a deer, the driver stopped.
The dog grabbed the handle of the open driver's door and then hid in the footwell of the vehicle so that the driver could not drive the approximately ten meters to the police station.
The dog was brought to the police station by the patrol and after shortly after 2 a.m. still no owner had reported, the dog was to be taken to the animal shelter in Starnberg.
When he was put into the service vehicle for this purpose, the picture was taken in the courtyard of the department.
After a five-minute drive, the owners from Herrsching got in touch and the dog could be handed over to them safely.
The dog was a well behaved Doberman English bulldog mix, approximately 1.5 years old, who goes by the name of Django.
