A car overturned and caught fire in Sham Shui Po.
At around midnight today (January 3), a private car was driving along Cheung Sha Wan Road towards Sham Shui Po.
While turning right into Tai Po Road, he suddenly lost control and slammed into a roadside flower trough and stone wall, and then rolled over to the right. The front of the car burst into flames and smoke.
The firefighters arrived and put out the fire. The male driver refused to be sent to the hospital after treatment on the spot. He later passed the drunk driving and drug driving tests. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Affected by the car accident, Tai Po Road was temporarily closed and traffic was blocked.
