Disturbance of the peace, damage to property and a few minor fires: Erding police report 14 operations on New Year's Eve

The officials from the Erding police station and many a fire brigade never got bored on New Year's Eve.

In addition to normal patrol work, the police were called to a total of 14 operations.

The colleagues from the Dorfen police had it quieter – “no special incidents” are said from there in relation to the New Year celebrations.

The Erding volunteer fire brigade was called to Plankensteinweg in Erding on Saturday at 8:40 p.m. because a hedge had caught fire there.

The fire was extinguished by local residents before rescue workers arrived.

Around 11:45 p.m., the Erdinger Wehr was ordered to Brunnenweg.

A New Year's Eve rocket set fire to a chair on the balcony of an apartment building.

The fire was quickly extinguished so it could not spread to the building.

People were not in danger.

The new year was only a few minutes old when the Pastetten fire brigade had to put out a burning tree on Flurstrasse.

There was only minor damage to the tree and an adjacent fence.

The local fire brigades then had to deal with hedge fires around 0.45 a.m. - on Kattowitzer Straße in Erding and Eicherloher Straße in Oberneuching.

Both fires were quickly extinguished.

At 1:50 a.m., the Erding Police Station was notified of the fire in a garbage house on Haidfeld in Buch am Buchrain.

Thanks to the rapid intervention of the local fire brigade, the fire could not spread in this case either.

The total damage caused by all fires amounts to around 3000 euros.

A Moosinninger, whose mailbox had been blown up by a firecracker, had to get annoyed early on New Year's Day.

And how was New Year's Eve in the emergency room at Erdinger Klinikum?

"There was nothing out of order, it was quiet from the party scene," it says from there.

It was a completely normal - as usual busy - night shift.
