Berlin – The new year is literally on the doorstep, but before 2022 says goodbye, it is time to review the eventful past twelve months one last time.

With "2022 - The Quiz" Frank Plasberg (65) again invited four top-class guests like Florian Silbereisen (41) to his studio and asked them questions about the milestones that moved and inspired people the most.

He has been moderating the colorful format since December 27, 2008 – and has already made one or two A-celebrities sweat with his tough puzzle games.

In addition to regular guest Günther Jauch (6), who has not missed an edition of "Das Quiz" since 2008, Barbara Schöneberger (48), Jan Josef Liefers (58) and Florian Silbereisen will also be honored on December 30th.

With charm, humor and lots of funny sayings, the top-class quartet makes their way through the tough questions from showmaster Frank Plasberg.

When it finally comes down to guessing great music hits, it gets complicated: Because these aren't played in via loudspeakers, but by Jürgen, Rudi and Wolfram, aka the former "Wetten, dass...?" betting kings "Die Beatles Kehrer “, interpreted with a broom.

"Layla" is 2022's hits of the year.

The controversial number was also played on “2022 – The Quiz” – and hit star Florian Silbereisen promptly sang along.

It's hard to believe, but the sound of bristles on the studio floor actually reveals a melody.

Although Barbara Schöneberger is at a loss and leaves her answer board empty, Günther Jauch and Florian Silbereisen recognize the piece immediately: it is "Layla", the Ballermann hit by DJ Robin & Schürze, which caused a sensation with a controversial song text in the summer had.

"I didn't expect anything else": Viewers react to "Layla" on "2022 - The Quiz"

On social media, Florian Silbereisen's spontaneous song and Günther Jauch's lightning-fast response caused a lot of laughter.

“Günther Jauch knows and guesses 'Layla' correctly.

All right," a viewer on Twitter expresses his amazement, "Jauch is a fan of 'Layla'.

I didn't expect anything else," commented another.

The fans also like the fact that hit legend Flori, who is more likely to be associated with adult song content, knows at least the beginning of the chorus by heart: "Things I didn't know I needed: Florian Silbereisen sings 'Layla'," says one happily Twitter user.

After "Layla" was concealed just a few weeks ago in the RTL annual review "People, Pictures, Emotions" with Thomas Gottschalk (72) and Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg (51), the broom cover of the controversial anthem for the TV have been a surprise to the audience.

"Never thought they'd play 'Layla' there," notes one fan in astonishment, "Now what?

Despite a lively debate about the scandalous lyrics and calls for censorship, "Layla" was able to place itself at the top of the annual charts.
