A Baunataler has forgotten where he parked his car and places an ad on Ebay classifieds.

Daniel Becker from Kassel then came to his rescue.

Kassel/Baunatal – A man from Baunatal who was desperately looking for his car probably had a rather unpleasant pre-Christmas period.

However, the silver Mercedes Benz sedan was not stolen or towed away - the owner had forgotten where in Kassel he had parked his car.

The need was great and the man placed an advertisement on an Internet portal.

His rescuer in need was Daniel Becker from Kassel.

He tells the story of the special find.

The 36-year-old tire fitter from Kassel was looking for a new motorcycle on Ebay classifieds when he saw the Mercedes owner's request, Becker recalls.

"You don't see that every day," he says.

Since the curious ad immediately aroused his interest, he wrote to the creator of the ad.

Becker asked if there were any clues and offered to help with the search, reports hna.de.

The Baunataler still knew that the car had to be somewhere in the city.

There was not much more information, apart from the fact that he had not yet received a fine.

There was also a picture of the car in the ad.

The finder's reward: 50 euros.

Becker wrote to the man.

With the rather vague hint that the car might be near the town hall, Becker went on a search – initially unsuccessful.

At the same time, the Baunataler's inquiries to the regulatory authorities as to whether an illegally parked vehicle had been found were unsuccessful, says Becker.

Since he was on vacation and had plenty of time, he then expanded his search radius.

First the 36-year-old looked around in the vicinity of the Marien Hospital, then at the main station.

Again without success.

When he was about to head home from the train station, he happened to see the silver car parked in a parking lot on Wolfhager Strasse, reports Becker.

The 36-year-old informed the owner about his find and picked him up at home, after all he was no longer mobile.

Overjoyed, he immediately handed Becker the promised 50 euros.

"This whole story is so exciting, and I'm a part of it," enthuses the finder.

At the same time, the joy of the Baunataler was certainly great, just in time for Christmas he received his sorely missed car back.
