the IKEA chain has announced that its traditional winter sale will begin the day after tomorrow (Wednesday), during which thousands of products will be sold at up to 60% off.
The sale will last until January 25.
Checking prices after discounting a number of products we tested, shows that most of them are still higher than the sale offered by the chain last summer.
This, following the price increase of IKEA, which took place last summer.

So, for example, a gray or white Vistahouse cabinet is offered at a 24% discount, and its price is now NIS 1,295 instead of NIS 1,695.
In the last summer sale, the price of the same cabinet was NIS 1,195 instead of NIS 1,595 after a 25% discount.

Gladstad padded double bed frame will be offered in the upcoming sale at a 27% discount, i.e. for NIS 1,195 instead of NIS 1,645.
In the summer, the bed frame was offered at a 26% discount for NIS 995 instead of NIS 1,345.
A three-seat Landskorna spa in dark gray or wood will be offered at a 25% discount, so it will cost NIS 2,250 instead of NIS 2,995.
Here, too, the differences between the sales prices are noticeable: a similar sofa in light green or wood was offered in the summer at a 24% discount for NIS 1,895, instead of NIS 2,495.
On the other hand, a black gaming chair remains at the same price - and is offered at a 24% discount for NIS 225 instead of NIS 295.
Also in the summer sale, the same chair was offered at the same discount rate and at the same price.

Of course, it will be possible to find some additional discounts in the sale: Listerbi coffee table in dark brown color at 45% discount for NIS 495 instead of NIS 895.
Non-work for the kitchen at a 31% discount for NIS 1,595 instead of NIS 2,295;
A dressing table with a mirror from the 28% tax model for NIS 795 instead of NIS 1,100;
A cooking utensil set that includes five utensils at a 21% discount for NIS 59 instead of NIS 75;
A desk from the tax model in white color at a 40% discount for NIS 895 instead of NIS 1,495, and more.
Last summer, the prices of items in the Swedish chain increased by an average rate of about 5%, but this gap then also reached 26%.
The same price increase also reached the cafeteria, which caused the prices there to jump up to 31%.

Along with the discounts on the furniture and housewares, discounts will also be offered on selected dishes in the dairy and meat restaurant.
Thus, a bowl of soup will be offered for NIS 5 instead of NIS 9;
A portion of chicken balls with two toppings to choose from will be offered for NIS 29 instead of NIS 35;
An egg salad sandwich will be offered for NIS 12 instead of NIS 15;
Mozli will be NIS 7 instead of NIS 9;
And the price of three chocolate balls will be NIS 8 instead of NIS 10.
In the Swedish store you will be able to find salted caramel ballerina cookies weighing 205 grams for NIS 5 instead of NIS 8, Belgian waffles 220 grams will be sold for NIS 10 instead of NIS 15 and Daim milk chocolate 250 grams will be sold for NIS 12 instead of NIS 16 shekels
