Coffee is one of the most beloved beverages in the world, one that is sold in just about every possible grocery store.
The situation in Israel is no different either: with a consumption of 4.2 kilograms of coffee per capita per year (similar to the USA, Spain and Portugal), Israel is ranked 25th in the world in terms of national consumption of the drink, that is, 3.5 cups a day.

The world record is quite surprising, when Finland is at the top with about 12 kilograms of coffee per person per year, which is about 4 cups of drink a day.
And what is so special about the Israeli consumer?
The answer is very simple: diversity.
During the Corona epidemic, Israeli consumers began to use capsules more (and with a market share of 46%, it is quite possible that these are Elite's coffee capsules), which allows them to diversify the different mixes and flavors.
An example of this can be seen in the increase that has occurred in the last 5 years in the use of "espresso in the city" based drinks in Israel by using capsules.

Regev, Vietnam, Colombia, Indonesia and Ethiopia are the four countries that come after Brazil in the ranking of the main coffee growing countries in the world.
